2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

An offence under Section 494 I.P.C is non-cognizable and final report cannot be filed by the police under Section 173 Cr.P.C, and only a private complainant can be launched in terms of section 198 Cr.P.C. Under such circumstances, no directions as prayed for the petitioner can be granted. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
