Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from laying any road in the patta lands belonging to the petitioner, measuring an extent of about 2.48 acres in Survey No.4/1 and measuring an extent of about 1.26 acres in survey no.4/2 situated in No.169 Pazhaverkadu light House Kuppam @ SP Kuppam village, Ponneri Taluk. When the matter came up on 20.06.2018, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was adjourned to 21.06.2018. On 21.06.2018 the learned counsel for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the petitioner has stated that he is no more representing for the petitioner and he has given change of vakalat to that effect. Therefore, in order to give an opportunity to the petitioner the Registry was directed to print the name of the petitioner in the cause list and post the matter on 22.06.2018. On 22.06.2018, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner therefore, the Registry was directed to post the Writ Petition today (22.07.2018) under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
