The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner absent. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent Mr.R.Arunmozhi, is present and the respondents represented M.Pugalendhi, Assessor for Corporation of Chennai alone is present.
2. The Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the notice sent by the Corporation of Chennai, claiming the Property Tax for the period of the year 2001 onwards. The Official produced records, which would show that on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
14.11.2016, the petitioner has paid a sum of Rs.9,35,500/- (Rupees Nine lakhs Thirty five thousand and five hundred only) towards the arrears of Property Tax for the period of 2000 to 2001 and the first half period of 2017-2018.
3. Accordingly, since the petitioner has paid the Property Tax for the disputed period also. Therefore, the Writ Petition is closed as infructuous.
