ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 19.05.2025 in accordance with law and conduct detailed inquiry against the respondents 5 and 7 as they are the public servants committing continuous malpractices in the public funds in Kottamedu Village Panchayat, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2. The petitioner is a social worker and a resident of the Kottamedu Village, Panchayat, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District. The petitioner belongs to the Adi Dravider Community. The petitioner is engaged in serving the innocent and poor persons and is working towards their upliftment. The petitioner, in recognition of his social service, was elected to the Village Panchayat during the year 2016. According to the petitioner, the respondents 5 to 7 who are the Village President and Official Secretary, to the said Village Panchayat, indulged in several malpractices while handling the public funds of village panchayat. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation on 19.05.2025, to the respondents 1 to 4, to take appropriate action against the respondents 5 to 7. Since no action was taken on the petitioner's representation, the petitioner filed the present writ petition for a detailed enquiry and action against the respondents 5 to 7 .

3. Heard both sides.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2025 within time stipulated by this court.

5. In the light of the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, direction is issued to the 4th respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
