Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the final warrant notice issued vide No.Say.Ma.Aa.Vaa.Thu./Sirappu/200910, dated 02.11.2003 and quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and consequently directing the respondents to issue notice with reference to increase of property tax from Rs.7,335/- to Rs.14,432/-, then from Rs.14,432/- to Rs.22,262/- and again from Rs.22,262/- to Rs.31,703/- and from Rs.31,703 to Rs.1,12,842/-. O R D E R

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents/ Corporation of Chennai, made a submission that the writ petitioner has cleared the entire arrears of property tax dues to the Corporation of Chennai and thereafter, no further adjudication needs to be entertained on the ground raised in respect of the writ petition.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner preferred an appeal raising the objection in respect of the fixation of property tax.

3. Further, it is left open to the petitioner to pursue the appeal in the manner known to law before the competent Court concerned. However, the fact remains that the writ petitioner has cleared the entire arrears of property tax dues and therefore, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
