ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 17.05.2018 filed by the petitioner, within a stipulated time.
2. Mr.V.Kathirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that 17 (a) notice was served on the petitioner on 12.09.2017, for which the petitioner submitted his explanation on 27.09.2018. The second respondent without considering the same has passed an order dated 12.04.2018, holding that the charges levelled against the petitioner is proved. Being aggrieved, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent on 17.05.2018. Since, the first respondent has not taken any action on the same, till https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
date, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.
5. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose is going to be served by seeking counter affidavit from the respondents.
6. Hence, regard being had to the aforesaid facts and submissions made especially the circumstance in which the petitioner has come to this Court, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 17.05.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
