O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to transfer the investigation in connection with the case in Crime No.196 of 2018 on the file of Inspector of Police, Thiruppapuliyur to some other agency within the Cuddalore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Pursuant to the directions issued by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.4711 of 2018, on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.196 of 2018 on 23.05.2018 for the offence under Section 448 I.P.C. Not satisfied with the investigation, this petition has been filed for transfer.

4. Heard, Mr.Kamalanathan, learned counsel for the petitioner who submitted that the police have not taken any steps to proceed further with the investigation, especially on the allegation that the accused is harassing the complainant.

5. In the opinion of this Court, interest of justice will be served, if the Deputy Superintendent of Police, in charge of Thiruppapuliyur Police Station is directed to monitor the investigation in Crime No.196 of 2018 that is being conducted by the Inspector of Police and complete the investigation expeditiously and file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
