Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to release the Car of the petitioner "TATA Indica Vista" bearing Registration No.TN 70 CTR 0208 bearing Chassis No.MAT611436CPF39364 and Engine No.100A20000259832, forthwith.

ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the first respondent to release the Car belongs to the writ petitioner bearing Registration No.TN 70 CTR 0208.

2. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner, now made a submission that the Car seized from the writ petitioner had been stolen and a criminal case was registered by Nazarethpettai Police Station in FIR No.590 of 2013.

3. Thus, it is made clear that the vehicle belongs to the writ petitioner is not available with the first respondent as of now. Thus, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
