The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to approve the appointment of the petitioner as P.G. Assistant English with effect from the date of appointment i.e., on 02.02.2022 with salary and other benefits forthwith.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on both side and perused the material available on record.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as P.G.Assistant (English) Teacher on 02.02.2022 in the retirement vacancy of T.Angeline Gunasundari. It is the further submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that for approval of the petitioner's appointment, the fifth 2/4
respondent has sent proposal vide proposal dated 04.02.2022 to the fourth respondent and thereafter, on account of certain asking by the fourth respondent, the same was immediately submitted and the final proposal dated 24.04.2025 was sent and the same is pending with the office of the respondents for some time.
4.At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader, would fairly submit that the respondents 3 and 4 would consider the fifth respondent's proposal within a reasonable time. 5.In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the fifth respondent's proposal dated 24.04.2025, upon its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
