Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the 4th respondent in relation to the proceedings issued in Na.Ka.No.030/E1/2017 dated 5-1-2018 and in Na.Ka.NO.0030/U1/2017 dated 29.04.2019, by the District Treasury Officer, Tiruvannamalai District, 4th respondent and quash the same and issue a consequential direction to the respondents to restore the pension of the petitioner to the post of primary school Headmaster and pay the same continuously with arrears of pension.

ORDER

When the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents No.3 and 4 in furtherance of the directions of this Court dated 30.10.2025 has placed before this Court, the communication dated 05.11.2025 addressed by the Treasury Officer to the Government Pleader Office informing him that by Accountant General erratum letter signed by the Senior Accounts Officer on 04.11.2025, whereunder it is stated that the designation of the petitioner has to be treated as 'Head Master' instead of 'Assistant Teacher' Page No.2 of 6

and necessary correction was also made in the Accountant General Office.

2. By the written instructions, it is also stated that since, erratum has been issued making necessary correction in respect of the petitioner stating the Designation as 'Head Master' instead of 'Assistant Teacher', the petitioner's pension was revised and re-fixed thereafter as prayed in the writ petition.

3. By the written instructions, it is also stated that on account of the revision, the petitioner is entitled to an amount of Rs.4,30,736/-. The arrears of sum of Rs.4,30,736/- was sanctioned vide proceedings dated 04.11.2025 and credited to the account of the petitioner through bank transfer on 05.11.2025.

4. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has placed before the copy of the aforesaid communication along with the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.0030/2017/E1 dated 04.11.2025 along with the calculation sheet and also the bank transfer advice of the petitioner. Page No.3 of 6

5. The aforesaid communication as placed before this Court is taken on record. Having regard to the fact that the respondents have now acted on the erratum and corrected the position of the petitioner as 'Head Master' and also having paid the arrears on 05.11.2025 in terms of the proceedings dated 04.11.2025, this Court is of the view that the grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is addressed and no further orders are necessary.

6. In the event, petitioner is aggrieved by the payment of the arrears or the calculation, it is open for the petitioner to approach the respondent authorities by submitting the representation and workout the remedies in accordance with law.
