With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to subdivide and issue separate patta in favour of the petitioner, in respect of the property in S.No.68/3B to an extent of 2.18 acres situated at Kottagoundampatti Village, Omalur Taluk, by considering her application dated 02.01.2024.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

The case of the petitioner is that she had purchased the subject property vide Sale Deed dated 29.03.2007 on the file of the SRO, Omalur and also obtained patta No.56, in which other co-owners name was also included; since then, she is in joint possession and enjoyment of the subject property; she submitted an application on 02.01.2024 to the respondent, seeking to subdivide the subject property as per the Sale Deed and issue separate patta to her; since the respondent did not take any action on her application, she approached the respondent in person and requested several times, but, no avail; hence, the present writ petition.

Considering the limited relief scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 02.01.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
