Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein for the registration the General Power of Attorney deed pending Document No.P259/2021 and the deed of cancellation of sale agreement pending Document No.P-258/2021 on the file of the 3rd respondent and to return the same to the petitioners.

ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein for the registration the General Power of Attorney deed pending Document No.P-259/2021 and the deed of cancellation of sale agreement pending Document No.P-258/2021, on the file of the 3rd respondent and to return the same to the petitioners.
2. The grievance of the petitioners is that they presented a Power of Attorney Deed for registration before the 3rd respondent on 29.11.2021 which is pending in Document No.P-259/2021. Similarly, on the same day, they jointly executed a deed of cancellation of sale agreement pending in Document No.P-258/2021, on the file of the 3rd respondent. But the documents were neither registered nor returned to them and that the 3rd 2/6
respondent was keeping documents endlessly without any reason. Therefore present Writ Petition is filed.
3. The respondents have not filed any counter.
4. Heard and perused the materials available on record.
5. The only grievance of the petitioners is that their documents were neither registered nor returned to them. Therefore, the 3rd respondent is directed either to register the said documents if the documents presented by the petitioners are otherwise in order and still pending with the 3rd respondent and pass suitable orders within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case the documents are found not to be in order for registration, the 3rd respondent shall adopt the procedures in the manner known to law and he has no authority to keep the documents with him.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to the costs.
7. Before parting with this case, it is to be noted that the 3rd respondent has made the petitioners to run from pillar to post for the past 2 years and dragged them to file this Writ Petition.

8. Therefore, the 1st respondent is directed to take departmental action against the 3rd respondent and file the action taken report before this Court on or before 30.01.2024.
