The petitioner namely Devakumar, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.07.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 25(1)(B)(a) of Arms Act in Crime No.179 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is falsely implicated as an accused in Crime No.179 of 2023 for the offences Sections 25(1)(B)(a) of Arms Act for the possession of country gun. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 06.07.2023. Thus, he prays for grant of bail.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, opposes this petition, on the ground that, petitioner was found with possession of country gun on 06.07.2023 at about 9.00 a.m., near Vijamanagaram to Parur Road. He has four previous cases, including one murder case. Therefore, he strongly opposed this petition.

4. Considering the submission of learned Additional Public Prosecutor that, petitioner has 4 previous cases pending against him, including one murder case, and that investigation is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
