By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to settle the terminal benefits such as gratuity and leave salary standing to the credit of the petitioner without any further delay with applicable interest.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has joined in the Respondents-Corporation as Packer on 20.01.1983 and after rendering 35 years of service and on attaining the age of 2/6

superannuation, he retired from service on 31.01.2018. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that while he was in service, he was served with a Charge Memorandum dated 16.08.2010, which resulted in imposing of punishment against the petitioner and the punishment amount has already been fully paid. Inspite of the said factum, the respondents are not settling his terminal benefits standing with the credit of the petitioner since 2018. Hence, he has sent a representation on 27.06.2023 to the 2nd respondent to settle his terminal benefits and such representation is yet to be considered by the 2nd respondent.

5. At this juncture, the learned Panel Advocate for TNCSC appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.

6. In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2023 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from 3/6

the date of receipt of copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 02.07.2025 Index : Yes/No Speaking order /Non Speaking Order dm 4/6
