O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore to furnish the copies of the documents mentioned in Copy Application No. 3577 of 2022 in C.C.No.4479 of 2017 which was returned on 11.05.2022.

This Court on going through the order passed by the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai in S.R.No.1710 of 2022 in C.C.No.4479 of 2017 finds that the accused/petitioner was furnished copies as per the order of this Court. Further, the petitioner was granted the certified copies on the basis of the copy application filed by him. Again the petitioner filed a memo for getting copies, which were already furnished to him. Therefore, the memo was rejected by the learned Magistrate stating that the memo was filed only to delay the trial in this case.

3. In view of the above, this Court finds that the rejection of the memo filed by the petitioner by the learned Magistrate is right and appropriate. This Court is also of the view that, this petition is also filed only to delay the process of the trial. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dimissed with Costs.

4. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to make non refundable deposit of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the credit of Chief Justice Relief Fund, High Court of Madras, within a period of three weeks from today. 06.12.2022 Sma Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non speaking order 3/4
