This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file Final Report in Crime No.379 of 2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent.

gya 3.Today, Mr.S.Velusamy, Inspector of Police, Jayankondam Police Station, Ariyalur-District is present before this Court.

On instructions, the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submitted that on the complaint given by Chellammal, the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.379 of 2016 on 22.05.2016 for offence under Section 174[3] Cr.P.C., pursuant to the suicide of one Sivagami. After further investigation, the Police have now filed an alteration report altering Section from 174[3] Cr.P.C. to 306 Cr.P.C.

4.Recording the same, this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.379 of 2016 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
