Versus

1.Shanthi 2.Murugan ... Respondents This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Mr.Anton Dhanasekaran, learned counsel for the appellant and the learned counsel for the respondents are present. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT As against the claim amount of Rs.10,65,000/- with further interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum, over and above the sum of Rs.9,04,321/-, which is already deposited to the credit of M.C.O.P.No.5646 of 2014, another sum of Rs.3,00,000/- will also be deposited within a period of eight weeks from today. 2.In view of the above, the settlement for the total sum of Rs.12,04,321/- as full quit is recorded.

3.The appellant undertakes and as such is directed to deposit the balance amount of Rs.3,00,000/- within a period of eight weeks from today. The Claimant/1st respondent will be entitled to withdraw the entire sum accrued with interest, if any, on proper identification and verification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.

4.In view of the same, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands disposed off. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition/s is/are closed, if any.

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement. The full court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 2 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
