This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the third respondent-Police to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.8 of 2023 dated 23.8.2023 within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents-Police on instructions submitted that after completion of investigation in Crime No.8 of 2023, charge sheet was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nannilam, vide E-Filing No.LTN20220002645C20240008 on 14.05.2025. Though the charge sheet was returned and subsequently the same was re-presented by rectifying the defects pointed out by the learned Magistrate.

4. In view of the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition closed.
