O R D E R

Heard Mr. K.Thiruvalluvan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. S.J.Mohamed Sathik, Learned Government Advocate appearing for the First to Third Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

Having regard to the nature of order proposed to be passed in the Writ Petition, which would not cause any prejudice to the Fourth Respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

The grievance ventilated by the Petitioner, who is a senior citizen, is that he had made an application dated 30.01.2023 to the First Respondent under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, to cancel the settlement deed executed by him in favour of the Fourth Respondent, but as it did not evoke any response, it has necessitated the filing of this Writ Petition.

In response, Learned Government Advocate appearing for the First to Third Respondents has produced Order No. Na. Ka. 05/2023/A2 dated 07.11.2023 passed by the Second Respondent showing that the said application 2/5

made by the Petitioner has been disposed and its copy is placed on record. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner also acknowledges its receipt and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. 5.

In view of the same, nothing remains for further consideration in the Writ Petition, but if the Petitioner has any further grievance to be redressed in the matter, he is not precluded from working out his rights before the proper forum in the manner recognized by law.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed with the aforesaid clarifications. No costs.
