This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in STC.No.561 of 2017 and complete the same within a stipulated time.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials placed on record.
3.It is seen that proof affidavit was filed on 07.02.2018 and since the accused did not cross-examine PW1, the prosecution side evidence has been closed on 10.05.2018. 4.In such view of the matter, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial in STC.No.561 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided if there is no any legal impediment.
