Common Prayer:- Contempt petitions have been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to punish the respondent for deliberate and wilful disobedience of the order dated 22.07.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.5029, 5021 & 5027 of 2024 respectively. In all Cont.Ps.

COMMON ORDER These Contempt Petitions have been filed to punish the respondents for non compliance of the order dated 22.07.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.5029, 5021 & 5027 of 2024 respectively, thereby directing the respondent to include the petitioners' name in the panel fo Assistants for the promotion to the post of Superintendent for the year 2016-17, 2018-19 and 2020-21 respectively, in the appropriate place as per their seniority and they are eligible for all consequential benefits. 2.
The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submitted that now departmental proceedings as against the petitioners under Section 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) are initiated and the petitioners were also served with show cause notice. Further as per the enquiry report, all the charges were proved as against the petitioners. Now the respondent is awaiting for the explanation from the petitioners for passing final orders.

In view of the above submissions, all the Contempt Petitions stand closed, at present. If the petitioners succeed in the disciplinary proceedings, they are at liberty to file fresh contempt petition.
