ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to trace out and produce the detenue by name Geetha, aged 23 years, wife of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is not present, whereas his counsel is present.

3. The second respondent, viz., Inspector of Police, Thiruvallur Town Police Station, has produced the detenue and she has been verified and ultimately it is found that she is the wife of the petitioner. Further, the detenue has stated that due to demand of dowry, she left the matrimonial home and she is now residing in a home. Further, she represented that against her father, who has been arrayed as third respondent herein, the petitioner has instituted a criminal case.
