The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 341 and 394 of IPC, in Crime No.314 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto complainant and threatened him and demanded Rs.1000/- from the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the petitioner is having 8 previous cases pending against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
