(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This Court, by order dated 09.02.2022 made in C.M.P.No.13733 of 2021 in O.S.A.(CAD) No.84 of 2021, has passed a conditional order directing the appellant to deposit a sum of Rs.2,00,00,000/- to the credit of the O.S.A.(CAD) No.84 of 2021 on the file of this Court within a period of six weeks. Today, the learned counsel appearing on either side submitted that the conditional order has been complied with by depositing a sum of Rs.2,00,00,000/- as directed by this Court.

2. Since the said amount is lying in the credit of the O.S.A.(CAD) No.84 of 2021 before this Court, C.M.P.No.13881 of 2022 has been moved seeking a direction to the Registry to invest the said sum of Rs.2,00,00,000/- in a Fixed Deposit for a period to be fixed by this Court so that interest will accrue.

3. As the learned counsel appearing for the other side also has agreed for ordering the petition, we direct the Registry to invest the sum of Rs.2,00,00,000/- deposited by the appellant in Fixed Deposit with the Indian Bank, High Court Branch, Chennai initially for a period of one year and renewable thereafter, till the disposal of the appeal. The civil miscellaneous petition is ordered accordingly.
