G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.

The petitioners who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC and Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in Crime No.731 of 2022, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were found in illegal possession of drugs. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocents and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioners were found in illegal possession of Narcotic drugs. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Considering the above fact and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

6. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is dismissed. 24.08.2022 ata
