ORDER

(made by R. SUBRAMANIAN, J.) This contempt petition has been filed alleging noncompliance of the order dated 30.09.2022 passed by this Court in W.P. No.8135 of 2021. In pursuance of the statutory notice ordered by this Court, the respondents 1 and 2 have appeared before this Court today. The first respondent has filed an affidavit dated 28.11.2023 stating that the premises in question has been sealed and it continues to be sealed. Photographs have also been produced showing the status of the premises as on 27.11.2023.

The learned counsel for the petitioner, would however, contend that a third party by name Yogambal has given a police complaint as regards opening of the seal on 10.07.2023. He would also submit that the said Yogambal has also entered into a compromise with the respondents. 2/4

We do not think that we can conduct a roving enquiry on this issue. We find that the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed by the first respondent are acceptable.

Hence, this contempt petition stands closed dispensing with the appearance of the officials.
