Respondent Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report a case in Crime No.256 of 2017 on the file of the respondent within a stipulated period which prescribed by this Court.

O R D E R
The petitioner's 17 year old daughter by name Aarthi was missing. Therefore, on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent Police registered the case in Crime No.256 of 2017 on 16.11.2017, for girl missing. While so, the petitioner has filed the present petition for the direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.256 of 2017 and file a final report.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl.Side] appearing for the respondent.
3. On directions of this Court, M/s.Kavitha, Inspector of Police, K.V.Kuppam Circle, Vellore District, has filed a status report dated 06.07.2017, wherein she has stated as follows:
"7. I submit that on 26.04.2018 I have taken charge as Inspector of Police, K.V.Kuppam Police Station and took further investigation of this case. I have recorded further statement of the petitioner/defacto complainant. In his statement, the petitioner stated that he spoke with his daughter Aarthi via Video Call on his mobile phone and she informed that she got married the said Hariprasad and she is conceiving 7 months and they staying at Mumbai and with consent she eloped with the said Hariprasad and requested that not to disturb their life. The petitioner also submitted that photo copies of her daughter along with the said Hariprasad.
8. I submit that based on the above statement of the petitioner, on 28.06.2018, I have altered the Section of this case into "U/s.366A IPC" against the accused Hariprasad. Based on that, I have formed a Special team to secure the accused Hariprasad and Aarthi and the special team has been taken their sincere and effective steps to secure them.
9. I submit that at this stage, now the petitioner filed this present petition seeking direction to file final report in Crime No.256 of 2017 on the file of the respondent Police within a stipulated period.
10. I Submit that the respondent Police registered and conducted the investigation in a fair, free and impartial manner in accordance with law and I have been taking my sincere and effective steps to secure the accused and missing girl Aarthi, as soon as I secure them, I will complete the investigation and file charge sheet against the accused.
11. under the above circumstances, it is most humbly prayed that this Court may be pleased to accept my Status Report and pass appropriate order and thus render justice."
4. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent Police expeditiously to complete the investigation and either filed a closure report or a charge sheet as the case may be under due intimation to the defacto complainant provided there is no any other legal impediment.
