O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members and to pass appropriate orders based on the representation dated 17.6.2025 to secure the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members in connection with Crime No.249 of 2025 on the file of the 1st and 2nd respondent-Police.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.
3. Since no adverse order is being passed as against the private respondents, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.
4. The defacto complainant/petitioner herein has given a complaint against the private respondents herein who are his neighbours and the same was registered in Crime No.249 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent-Police for the offences under Sections 125(2), 296(b), 118(1) 115(2) and 351(3) of BNS. Though F.I.R was registered on 09.06.2025 the respondent-police has not taken any action. Taking advantage of the same, the accused are threatening the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner under life threat is constrained to file this criminal original petition.
5. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submitted that the accused are absconding and they have moved anticipatory bail applications. However, there is no order has been passed in the said anticipatory bail applications.
6. In view of the above, the respondent-Police is directed to secure the accused and conduct an investigation and also give adequate police protection to the petitioner who is the defacto complainant in
Crime No.249 of 2025 and investigate the matter and file a charge sheet within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
