ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to invite the petitioner under PSTM (Persons Studied in Tamil Medium) Category for the Certificate Verification based on short listed Petitioner's name published on 18-05-2024 in respect of Graduate Teachers / Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) 2023, (Physics) in School Education and other Departments for the years 2023 to 2024 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is qualified with B.Sc, B.Ed (Physics) and studied in Tamil Medium. While being so, as per the notification issued by the third respondent, the petitioner had applied for recruitment to the post of Graduate

Teachers / Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) in Physics subject. Though the petitioner studied in Tamil medium upto the prescribed qualification, the petitioner had not chosen to file the application under PSTM quota. The candidature of the petitioner was considered under general quota. However, the petitioner was not coming under the zone of consideration and as such, she was not called for certificate verification. However, the petitioner secured 84 marks and the person who secured lesser than the petitioner was called for certificate verification under PSTM quota.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 submitted that already the entire selection process has been completed and also produced the copy of the application submitted by the petitioner through the third respondent portal.

5. On verification, it was found that the petitioner did not apply for the said post under PSTM and she had filled "No" in the PSTM details. However, if there is any vacancy available, the candidature of the petitioner may be considered under PSTM quota and invite the petitioner for certificate verification, if she is otherwise eligible.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
