ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 03.05.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for correcting the name of her son as A.Irfan Pathan and also to correct the name of the petitioner as A Fathima instead of Selvi and her husband's name as Asrafalli instead of Ashraf. 2.

Heard Mr.M.Selvam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gopinathan, learned Standing Counsel for respondent. 3.

It is seen from records that the petitioner's name is A Fathima and her husband's name is Asrafalli and whereas it has been mentioned as "Selvi" and "Ashraf" in the birth certificate issued to her son. That apart, the name of the petitioner's son is A Irfan Pathan and whereas his name has been mentioned as A Irfan in the birth certificate. To substantiate the correct name of the petitioner, her husband and son, the Aadhar card and the bonafide certificate

issued by the School are relied upon.

In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 03.05.2025 and to rectify the mistakes in the birth certificate and incorporate the correct name of the petitioner's son as Irfan Fathan, incorporate the name of the petitioner as A Fathima and her husband's name as Asrafalli. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
