2. Heard the learned State Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The prayer made in this petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to replace the term "Adi Dravidar" with "Adi Tamizhar" in all community certificates to be issued to Scheduled Castes in the State of Tamil Nadu by taking into consideration the petitioner's representations dated 21.05.2025 and 23.05.2025.

4. The learned State Government Pleader for respondents submits that the prayer as made by the petitioner could not be granted, in view of the settled legal position, as adumbrated by the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court in the case of State of Maharashtra v. Milind and others, (2001)1 SCC 4.
