This petition has been filed to issue a suitable direction to the respondent police to investigate and file a final report in Crime No.262 of 2014 dated 31.10.2014 on the file of Respondent police for offences under Sections 147, 294-B, 323 and 506(i) IPC.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the two groups clashed in the Pollachi Municipal Councilors meeting on 31.10.2014, in connection with which, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.261/2014 and 262/2014. In Crime No.261/2014, this petitioner is shown as accused and the case in Crime No.262 of 2014 has been registered on the complaint given by this petitioner and their parties.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that the investigation in Crime No.261 of 2014 has been completed and final report has been filed by the respondent police before the jurisdictional Court, but whereas the police have not completed the investigation in Crime No.262 of 2014.

5. In the light of the above, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.262 of 2014 within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file the final report before the jurisdictional Court.
