Respondents in W.P.No.15921 of 2008 Prayer in W.P.No.15920 of 2008 :- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner company by effectively preventing the respondents 2 to 6 and their associates so as to enable the petitioner to run the industry with the willing

workers, thus enabling free ingress and egress of men, material and vehicles to remove and transport the finished products from the petitioner's premises.

Prayer in W.P.No.15921 of 2008 :- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner company by effectively preventing the respondents 2 to 6 and their associates so as to enable the petitioner to run the Industry with the willing workers, thus enabling free ingress and egress of men, material and vehicles to remove and transport the finished products from the petitioner's premises. For Petitioners in both WPs : No appearance For Respondent - 1 in both WPs: Mr.R.S.Selvam Government Advocate For Respondents 2, 4 and 5 : No appearance For Respondents 3 & 6 : Dismissed Vide Court order dated 24.02.

2011 COMMON ORDER The petitioner has filed these writ petitions seeking for a direction to the first respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner company by effectively preventing the respondents 2 to 6 and their associates so as to enable the petitioner to run the industry with the willing workers, thus enabling free ingress and egress of men, material and vehicles to remove and transport the finished products from the petitioner's premises.

2. There was an interim order dated 07.07.2008 giving direction to the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioners' Units at 15, Nehru Street, Ring Road, Velampalayam, Tirupur 641 652 and at 2/547, Sarkar Periyapalayam, Uthukuli Road, Perundurai Erode District, on payment of necessary charges, computed and intimated by the 1st respondent, so as to run the Petitioners' Units peacefully with its staff and willing workers and thereby suitably prevent the respondents 2 to 6, their agents, men and outside supporters from assembling within a radius of 200 meters of the Petitioners' premises thus enabling the free ingress and egress of men, materials and vehicles of the petitioner herein.

3. Since the interim relief is similar to that of the relief in the main writ petition and ever since the granting of interim

directions, there is no representation for the writ petitioner, nothing survives in these writ petitions. Accordingly, writ petitions are dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
