This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report within the time.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.755 of 2017 under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. before the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and on the directions of the learned Magistrate, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.2046 of 2017 on 13.07.2017 for the offences under Sections 447, 465, 488 and 471 of I.P.C.

4. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.2046 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
