BBY [ RESPONDENT ] THE INSPECTOR OF POLICE, TEAM II, EDF-1 WING, CENTRAL CRIME BRANCH, VEPERY, CHENNAI-07, CR.NO. 368 OF 2014 Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to modify the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.7366/2016 order dated 13.7.2016 Crl.O.P.No. 9320 of 2016 to the effect of permitting the petitioner to deposit the amount of Rs.10,00,000/- in FD account.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of R.VIVEKANANTHAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.R.RAVI CHANDRASN, ADDITIONAL PUBLIC PROSECUTOR on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This petition is filed to modify the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.7366 of 2016 in Crl.O.P.No.9320 of 2016, by order dated 13.07.2016 by permitting the petitioner to deposit the amount of Rs.10 lakhs in FD Account.

2. It is represented on either side that the charge sheet has been filed and the case was taken on file in C.C.No.7427 of 2016 on the file of the Special Court for CCB and CB CID cases, Allikulam, Chennai and it as been stayed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.12497 of 2017, by order dated 09.10.2017. The petitioner prays that he has already paid a sum of Rs.10 lakhs to the credit of Crime Number No.368 of 2014 and the same is lying without fetching any interest.

3. Taking note of the submissions made on either side, the jurisdictional Court is directed to deposit the said amount in a Fixed Deposit scheme, renewable periodically once in a year and depending upon the outcome of C.C.No.7427 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Special Court for CCB cases, Chennai.

4. With the above observations/direction, this petition is disposed of.
