ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay the interest at the rate of 18% per annum, for the period of delay from 01.07.2023 to 15.04.2025 in paying the amounts paid towards his terminal benefits namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity and Encashment of Leaves within a stipulated time to the petitioner.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has joined in the 1st respondent Corporation on 27.11.1993 and had retired from his service on 30.06.2023. It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is entitled for difference in arrears of wages as per the 14th Wage settlement agreement and according to the petitioner, he is also entitled for terminal benefits. Apart from that, it is the further submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the terminal benefits have been settled to him no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In this connection, the petitioner has sent representation on 21.04.2025 and such 2/5
representation is pending on the file of the respondents.
3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.04.2025 within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsels for the respondents, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 and pass order according to its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
