Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 6th respondents to not to publish any new history book of Arulmigu Vanabadrakaliamman Thirukoil, Thekkampatti without following due process of law. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 6, not to publish any new History Book of Arulmigu Vanabadrakaliamman Thirukoil, Thekkampatti, without following due process of law.
2. According to the petitioner, the first respondent had issued a public notice on 10.10.2022, stating that a new History Book of the above said 2/6
temple is proposed to be published by including certain new facts as per the resolution passed by the Hereditary Trustee, namely the 6th respondent and invited objections for the same.
3.The petitioner, not agreeing with the new facts proposed to be included in the History Book submitted a representation to the respondents 1 to 5 on 17.04.2023, recording his objections. 4.Mr.S.Yashwanth, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, on instructions submits that if any new facts contrary to truth are included, it will create certain unrest in the village. 5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 17.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 31.07.2023.
