Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2016 and thereby direct the 4th respondent to issue patta in the name of petitioner in respect of the property situated in Survey No.451, Narerikuppam Village, Rattanai Panchayat, Thindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District to an extent of 5 cents of land. ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner would state that her father-in-law had occupied 5 cents situated in S.No.451, Narerikuppam Village, Rattanai Panchayat, Thindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District in the year 1965 and the said land was classified as Gramanaham as per the revenue records and after his demise, her husband Thiru Pandurangan, has succeeded to the said property and had put up a small supestructure and also availed electricity service connection in the year 1997 and also paid the statutory levies to the local body. The husband of the petitioner died on 14.03.2013, leaving behind the petitioner and her children and the 2nd daughter of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner got separated from her husband and she is residing with the petitioner. The petitioner would further state that since no patta has been issued in respect of the said property, she has approached the respondents very many times and also submitted a representation dated 17.06.2016, praying for issuance of patta and since no orders have been passed, she came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Suryanarayanan, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in her representation or in this writ petition, directs the 4th respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2016 on merits and in accordance with law pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
