No. 492 of 2024 and Arb.Appln.No.420 of 2024 K.KUMARESH BABU, J When these applications are taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing on either side, on instructions, submitted that this Court may appoint an Arbitrator to enter upon the dispute between the parties. 2.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, Mr.K.Harishankar, Advocate, Mobile No.98410-76561, residing at 'Capitale', 9th Floor, No.554/555, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai - 600018, is appointed as Sole Arbitrator to enter upon the dispute between the parties and to pass an Award.

The applicant herein is at liberty to take out an appropriate application, which is the subject matter of this original application before the Sole Arbitrator. Till the filing of such application, the parties shall maintain statusquo and it will not bind the Arbitrator to pass appropriate interim orders in the application filed under Section 17 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Since the claim of the applicant is only with reference to a sum of Rs.42,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Two Lakhs Only) receivable by the respondents, the status-quo shall be maintained with respect to a limited sum of Rs.42,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Two Lakhs Only). 5.

In view of the above reasonings, the present applications are disposed of. No order as to costs.
