This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 21.02.2026 in the light of the proceedings of the first respondent to the second respondent vide Na.Ka.No. Service .3(2) / 01-19 /26/ 2023 dated 22.09.2025. ORDER
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 21.02.2026 in the light of the proceedings of the first respondent to the second respondent vide Na.Ka.No. Service.3(2) / 01-19 /26/ 2023 dated 22.09.2025."
2. The petitioner was appointed as an Office Assistant in the Revenue Department on 23.12.1982. On 20.02.1997, he became Record Clerk and subsequently he was promoted to the post of Junior Assistant on 09.10.1999. Thereafter, the petitioner was promoted as Assistant and posted as Revenue Inspector on 19.10.2002.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he became eligible for promotion to the post of Deputy Tahsildar in the panel drawn for the year 2011. However, his name was not included in the promotion panel. Therefore, the petitioner approached this Court and this Court by order dated 17.04.2012 set aside the order of the 2nd respondent dated 06.01.2012 and directed the respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for inclusion in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Tahsildar.

The case of the petitioner is that after protracted correspondence, the 1st respondent vide proceedings dated 22.09.2025 directed the 2nd respondent to forward a report to include the petitioner's name in the panel of Deputy Tahsildars drawn for the year 2011 and sought the entire file. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation dated 21.02.2026 seeking indulgence of the respondents to pass orders. Since there is no response the petitioner is before this Court.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2026 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioner's representation in the light of the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 22.09.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
