Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the respondent in his proceeding Na.Ka.No.31906/2008/SI, dated 12.05.2008 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to promote the petitioner for the post of Head Clerk/Assistant on the basis of seniority and as per Service Rules contained in G.O.Ms.No.271, Rural Development Department, dated 04.04.1990 placing the petitioner's name over and above the name of Thiru. A.P.Muniandi, Head Clerk as per the tentative seniority list as on 01.03.2008.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition, to call for the records of the respondent in his proceeding Na.Ka.No.31906/2008/SI, dated 12.05.2008 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to promote the petitioner for the post of Head Clerk/Assistant on the basis of seniority and as per Service Rules contained in G.O.Ms.No.271, Rural Development Department, dated 04.04.1990 placing the petitioner's name over and above the name of Thiru. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to the effect.

"Our client already given a letter to the 2nd respondent that he is withdrawing the above writ petition. Hence, the Writ petition may be dismissed as withdrawn as he has confirmed the issue of said letter."

3. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
