This petition has been filed to condone the delay of 27 days in filing the criminal appeal to set aside the order of acquittal dated 27.02.2025 made in C.A.No.371 of 2023 passed by the learned VII Additional District and Sessions Court, Chennai and to restore the conviction passed by the learned Special Metropolitan Magistrate, X Court of Small Causes, Chennai in STC No.596 of 2021 dated 20.04.2023 to undergo 6 months simple imprisonment and to pay compensation of Rs.5,00,000/- within two months in default to undergo further period of one month simple imprisonment.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, the delay of 27 days is condoned and the petition is ordered.
