ORDER

The application has been filed to direct the Registrar General to endorse and handover the fixed receipt bearing number - Kamadhemu Deposit General Scheme vide Serial No.KP981374, Account No.8541401002436/1 - D.P. Code No.8541 dated 11.12.2019 drawn on Canara Bank, Periyar Nagar Branch for a sum of Rs.9,72,192.00 (Rupees Nine Lakhs Seventy Two Thousand One Hundred and Ninety Two only) with accrued interest till date of encashment in favour of the applicant herein.

According to the applicant, this Court, by order dated 26.06.2019, granted a Succession Certificate in his favour and directed that the minor's applicant share be deposited in a Fixed Deposit in any one of the Nationalised Banks, with automatic renewal until he attained majority. The said Fixed Deposit was ordered to be kept in the safe custody of the Registrar General. The share of the applicant is Rs.7,05,503/- and the same was matured as Rs.9,72,192/-. Since the applicant has now attained majority, he seeks return of the said amount and has therefore filed the present application. Page No.2 of 4

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicant/petitioner. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and since the applicant/petitioner has attained majority, the petitioner is entitled to receive his share amount of Rs.9,72,192/-. Accordingly, this application is allowed as prayed for.
