ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S. BASKARAN, J] This petition has been filed by the father of the detenu, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, Ananthi, aged about 23 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, in the morning, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and the matter was passed over. Again, when the matter was taken up in the afternoon, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. However, the detenue has appeared before this Court on her own, along with her counsel.

3. On enquiry, the detenue Ananthi has stated that she is a major and she married one Karthick, S/o.Balasubramanian, who https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

had been working with her in Chennai Silks show room at Erode. They fell in love with each other and they got married. Now, they are living happily by working in a textile shop at Erode. The detenue has also produced an Adhar Card to show her date of birth.

4. A perusal of the Adhar Card shows her date of birth as 28.11.1992. Since she was born in the year 1992, certainly, she is a major. As she has expressed her desire to go along with the said Karthick, who seems to be her husband, she is permitted to go along with the said Karthick, as she is a major and there is no objection from any side with regard to her age and their relationship.

5. In view of the above, the detenue is permitted to go along with the said Karthick, who is said to be her husband, as she is a major.

In such circumstances, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary. Hence, the Habeas Corpus petition is closed.
