Respondents Writ Petition (Criminal) filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to forbear the respondents 5 and 6 from in any manner interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession of the property situated in D.No.232, Veeran Street, Arisipalayam, Salem District and consequently direct the respondents 2 to 4 to provide adequate Police protection for safeguarding the life and limb of the petitioner by complying with Section 22(2) of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, in the light of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.06.2025. ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to forbear the respondents 5 and 6 from in any manner interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession of the property situated in D.No.232, Veeran Street, Arisipalayam, Salem District and consequently direct the respondents 2 to 4 to provide adequate Police protection for the safeguarding the life and limb of the petitioner by complying with Section 22(2) of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, in the light of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.06.2025.

2. The petitioner is the mother and she has 5 children and among 5 children, 2 children are living with the petitioner in the very same building and the second son is living in the ground floor and the third son is living in the second floor. The said 2 children one or other way had given a trouble and trying to usurp the property in a third hand manner, morefully, the 2 sons have committed unlawful and illegal activities against the petitioner's wish and hence, the petitioner has sought for Police protection for her life and limb.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 03.07.2025 cs
