Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the impugned notice of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India dated Nil and quash the same in respect of the portion of the notice hosted in the official website of the 1st respondent, restricting the deadline for filing response from the general public as 31.07.2016, directing the respondents to extend the deadline for submitting the response for Draft New Educational Policy, 2016 by granting
sufficient time in respect of the member institutions of the petitioner.

By consent this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. Dr.Xavier Arul Raj, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Ms.A.Arul Mary, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that time limit to submit inputs for Draft National Educational Policy, 2016 is very short and going to expire on 31.07.2016 and therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court with this writ petition.
3. Mr.D.Ramesh Kumar, learned Central Government Standing Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents today produced the communication received from the Ministry of Human Resources Development, wherein it has been indicated that the time limit for submitting inputs for Draft National Educational Policy, 2016 has been extended till 16.08.2016.
4. In the light of the extension of time granted by the first respondent, the petitioner is at liberty to submit their response to the Draft National Educational Policy, 2016 before the said Committee and this Court is optimistic that the inputs received from various stakeholders will be duly considered and appropriate policy decision will be taken by the first respondent.
