..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's Application No.2026/0123/08/001221 dated 02.03.2026 and survey the land and lay the boundary stone and issue separate patta in the petitioner properties situated in survey No.202 sub division No.8C to orange colour portion which as extent of 03.95 cents out of total extent of 0.080.0 Hect at M.Kallipatti village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District within stipulated time may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 02.03.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made an application dated 02.03.2026 before the respondent to survey the land, lay the boundary stone and issue separate patta for the petitioner's properties more-fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. However, the said application was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and submitted that the petitioner's application dated 02.03.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 02.03.2026 and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary

stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
