ORDER
This writ petition has been filed praying for a direction to the 3rd respondent / police to provide protection to the 2nd respondent and his subordinate officials for surveying the writ petitioner's landed properties in old Survey No.44/1, Survey No.44/1A1 and new 44/1A1A2 of Agaram Agraharam Revenue Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District, in pursuant to the representation dated 16.04.2026 2.
The petitioner herein purchased a property to an extent of 4.77 acres in S.No.44/1, another 17 1⁄2 cents in the same survey number and owned a land comprised in Survey No.79/1A and 79/1D2 measuring a total extent of 0.72 cents and 0.30 cents situated at Thethigiripatti Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. In order to survey the said land, the petitioner submitted an application before the second respondent and also paid requisite fees for the same. However, when the second respondent deputed a surveyor to survey the said land, the surveyor was
objected by respondents 5 to 9 from surveying. Hence, this writ petition. 3.
Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for respondents 1 to 4.

If the surveyor faces any difficulty at the hands of respondents 5 to 9 while surveying the petitioner's aforementioned land, he may seek police protection and on such request, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry after issuance of notice to the petitioner and counter parties and giving them opportunity of personal hearing and to pass orders in respect of providing police protection while surveying the land, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the request from the surveyor concerned.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
