Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue family card to the G.Shankar son of Gopal residing at Door No.2/10-13 2nd ward, Thandumariamman Kovil Street, Tharamangalam Post, Omalur Taluk, Salem District as per the applications of the petitioner dated 19.06.2014.

The writ petition is filed for issuance of fresh family card and

since there was considerable delay, this Court directed the second respondent to be present before this Court and explain the reasons for delay and accordingly, the second respondent is present before this Court today and would submit that since some of the documents sought for have been furnished belatedly, there was some delay and subsequently, the family card bearing no.10/W/0121188 has been issued and the statement of the petitioner has also been recorded. 2.In the light of the said development, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition and hence, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
