Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to pass appropriate orders revising the pay of the petitioner in the post of Forest Ranger on par with his junior, Thiru.M.Natarajan, Forest Ranger, with effect from 23.10.2008, in the light of the proceeding of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Chennai 600 015 in B1/51535/2011 dt.11.05.2012. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to pass appropriate orders revising the pay of the petitioner in the post of Forest Ranger on par with his junior, Thiru.M.Natarajan, Forest Ranger, with effect from 23.10.2008, in the light of the proceeding of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Chennai 600015 in B1/51535/2011 dt.11.05.2012.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is entered into the service as Forester in the year 1981 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

promoted as Forest Ranger in the year 2006. After rendering 30 years of service, the petitioner retired on 28.02.2011. The grievance of the petitioner is that one Mr.Natarajan, who entered the service as Forester in the year 1981 and promoted as Forest Ranger in the year 2008, who is junior to the petitioner and there was anomaly between them in the salary as well as the pension. The petitioner made a representation to the respondent, till date, the representation was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition filed before this Court.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 29.06.2012 submitted by the petitioner and to dispose of the same within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court. He further stated that similar situated persons also received benefits in the year 2019.

4.Without going into the merits of the case, I am inclined to issue direction to direct the first respondent to consider the representation dated 29.06.2012 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
